What a beautiful photo!! You really do post some amazing pictures, Cali. I must try the angle – standing beneath the tree, rather than across from it. What a difference it makes. Blessings.
Now and then I see a great upward tree shot like this, and always enjoyed it. Finally this year I did some experimenting with it myself with my little $150 camera (I’m a novice photo-bug). It was a fun project for two days. I loved the differences between midday and late afternoon light. When the sun is low in the afternoon, there’s a terrific contrast between shaded leaves on the lower branches and bright ones above in the sun. The idea in general is a worthy reminder for everyone to look up when outdoors, up where so much tends to be unnoticed, and this applies year-round.
