Beautiful blue spring flowers: Muscari a.k.a. Grape Hyacinth
f/4 – 1/125 – ISO 200 – 60mm
This entry was posted on April 7, 2013 by caleephotography. It was filed under Canon 450D, Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM, nature and was tagged with closeup, flowers, spring.
Now this I like – you know exactly where the point of focus is and the shallow DoF is lovely. Great vibrant colours as well!

Yes, they’re bright blue! 🙂 Pretty eh! More signs of spring coming up soon (I hope!)…

Wonderful shot. This is the style that I normally think of when I think of you. (I know that you love to have a narrow depth of field, which keeps bringing you back to your DSLR).

Indeed, this is my favourite kind of photo 🙂 But I’ve just bought a new camera and two new lenses, they’re on their way from a shop in Belgium right now.. Maybe different styles are coming up on this blog! Although I like flower close ups way too much to give them up completely of course 🙂

Great picture, Calee. Lovely that you didn’t allow any other colours in the image.

Thanks so much, Patricia! I first wanted to add something else for the contrast, but in the end I decided that the blue is enough colour splash on its own. 🙂
