Thanks Becca! 🙂
Taken from the car means it is a wild one? Not in the zoo?
What a lucky and special shot!

Thanks Fillandra! Yes, it’s a wild one! They’re quite shy, so I stopped the car and quickly took a few shots *just in case*. Then I got out to get a better one but the deer sensed danger and ran away immediately.

What a beautiful creature this is!

I fully agree, Lisa! 🙂
Btw- I *love* your latest pictures, the “dreamy” tone is fantastic!!!

Always nice to find wildlife.
July 23, 2013 at 7:29 PM
During my holiday in Sweden/Norway, this was the only wildlife I saw. No reindeers or anything more “exotic”. Just this common deer, close to my parent’s house. Still, always nice.. 🙂

That’s why a photographer never leaves the house without the camera. F8 and ready. 🙂

Never leave home without it! 🙂

A very nice picture of this sweet roe.
Thanks Bente! I was hoping to see reindeers in Norway, but a common roe’s nice too. 🙂

Thanks Tina! I had to zoom a lot, so rested my elbows on the door handle to keep still 🙂

Perfect timing Calee, love the pose with his ears perked up as if to say – I’m out of here. Beautiful animal.

Thanks Mary! She was on high alert, even though I was far away she immediately sensed that something was up!

Interesting. No white tail?
July 25, 2013 at 4:27 PM
The tail is not white but lighter than the rest of the body. In the winter the coat is darker so there’s more colour contrast, see a picture from last winter here: https://caleephotography.wordpress.com/2012/12/21/deer/
